Varnished Fall Trend Report: Winning Metallics

Autumn is all about luxe, deep, velvety colors and textures and of course this translates to your nails. Be on the look out for one of  this Fall’s trends, Metallics. Get some nail inspiration from some of the collections below.

China Glaze- Bohemian Luster Chrome

I’m loving the bohemian color scheme for China Glaze’s Fall 2012 Collection. Check out this awesome peacock water marble manicure from Polished Mommy that I shared recently with the Facebook Varnistas. The blogger first used a black base coat, then applied China Glaze’s Luster Chrome polishes, which really brought the colors out.  Bohemian Luster Chrome is available now!

  • Unpredictable Multi-dimensional gorgeous green
  • Rare & Radiant Extraordinarily rich gold
  • Swanky Silk Brilliant beige with peach undertones
  • No Plain Jane Lavish lavender-pink
  • Want My Bawdy Sexy sapphire blue
  • Deviantly Daring Adventurously bold peacock teal

Essie- Mirror Metallics
Essie opted for a more traditional metallic color palette while throwing in a metallic blue and lavender. I love how vibrant this formula is.

Butter London- HeavyMetal Collection

UK based brand, Butter London released a special trio of metallics to commemorative the 2012 London Olympics. You’ll definitely be a winner with these gilded paint on your nails.

The Full Monty (gold), Diamond Geezer (silver) and The Old Bill (bronze)

Here are some luxurious metallics from past collections:

Quartz, Peridot, Graphite

Estee Lauder- Black and Metal Mania

Uggh, this collection is making me swoon. Fall is my favorite season, I just can’t wait to adorn my nails with jewels like these!

  • Caviar Gray
  • Bete Noire Purple
  • Blue Blood Blue
  • Black Plum Plum
  • Viper Green
  • Nouveau Riche Gold
  • Explosif Taupe
  • Chaos Gray
  • Smashed Purple
  • Fiery Hot Red

Deborah Lippmann- Magnetic Appeal

This Collection is literally metallic! I’m sure by now you’ve heard about magnetic polish. How does it work? Paint your nails with the magnetic polish, wave a special magneic over your nails. The magnet reacts with the metal in the polish, producing cool & funky patterns
