Varnished Look of the Day: Tons of Glitter

I’ve been rocking this look for the past month- I’ve been obsessed with getting my nails done at Sakura Nails in the Lower East Side.  I was introduced to Sakura by twitter friend @s2crespo3 and I’ve been in love ever since. The look is a glitter gradation Calgel manicure. The process is kind of labor intensive but the result is worth it.  For this manicure she mixed silver and a little bit of pink holographic chunky glitter to get the gradation effect. The manicurists are very accommodating and offer you tea and water during your service. This is a no acrylic salon, they do provide gel and Calgel mani/pedis. The Calgel manicure lasts around 2 weeks, after which you can opt for a fill-in depending on what color you have underneath or a new set.
