Varnished Radar: New China Glaze Collections for 2011
A new year means new collections from one of my favorite brands- China Glaze. First up is holographic collection Tronica. With the success of their previous holographic collection OMG, it’s awesome that they’re coming out with 12 more holo shades. Here is a list of colors from the China Glaze Blog.
- Techno Teal – Turquoise Holographic
- Virtual Violet – Violet Holographic
- Electra Magenta – Magenta Holographic
- Gamer Glam – Purple Holographic
- High Def - Blue Holographic
- Hologram - Silver Holographic
- Hyper Haute – Raspberry Holographic
- 3D Fantasy – Peachy Pink Holographic
- Digital Dawn – Dusty Rose Holographic
- Cyberspace – Taupe Holographic
- Mega Bite – Gold Holographic
- Laser Lime – Lime Green Holographic
According to China Glaze, the collection will be available at Sally Beauty for a limited time.

Second up is Anchors Away Collection for Spring 2011. The collection has a good mix of pastels and brights- perfect for the season. Pastels come packaged as “Sand & Sea” while the brights are called “Knotty Nauticals”. There’s a couple of trendy colors like the Below Deck a-la- Chanel’s Paradoxal. And course there are the quintessential red and blues which one would expect from a collection called “Anchors Away”. My pick from this collection would probably be blue toned gray polish- Pelican Gray. Anchors Away is already available at some online retailers.
Color list:
- Life Perserver
- Life Savor
- Ahoy!
- First Mate
- Starboard
- Lighthouse
- White Cap
- Pelican Gray
- Sea Spray
- Below Deck
- Sunset
- Knotty
Lastly, one of my fave online retailers Trans Design revealed two more collections- China Glaze Crackle Glaze and Island Escape. Crackle Glaze looks like it will be available later this month while Island Escape is must likely a summer collection and will be released in April. Stay tuned for more info!

i love the crackle and island escape collections!!
Yes Dana- i’m not the biggest fan of crackle- but I do like the colors that they are coming out with! I’m so sick of black crackle all the time!
