Varnished Halloween!

Hey guys, I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween, I know I did. As promised, below are pictures of me and my friends and their wacky costume and nail choices! Enjoy and don’t forget to submit some of your Halloween looks as well (twitpic @VarnishedNails or email

Natasha's funky costume

We’ll call Natasha’s look Natasha 3.0. She wore a black lace body conscious dress, a cute oversized sweater, and beautifully ecletic makeup and accessories.

Natasha combines a black polish, a chunky color shifting sparkly topcoat and another reddish red and black glitter coat- a lot! The effect is pretty awesome.

Natasha raves about Sally Hensen Mega Shine topcoat. Going to have to try it one of these days. Although I am very dissapointed about Sally Hensen’s Hard as Wraps. It turns your nails into acrylic paint and they color peels right off the nail! No bueno!

Nutra Nail Golden Crystals is pretty awesome, she let us test some out on our own nails, and it looks different with each base color. (I think it looked best on her black nails tho). She also used a fine red glitter particle nail polish by Milani.

My bestie Dana, dressed as “Plus Sized Barbie”. She wore a pink dress, pearl earrings and necklaces, and cute black sheer polka dot stockings. She chose to go multi-colored with her nails, painting each digit a different shade of pink. Very cute I think.

As for me, I didn’t do anything too extreme. Red nails are definitely characteristic of the 50’s era, and they are a classic glamour statement. I wore a denim bustier type shirt, a cute ruffly-tube skirt, black sheer stockings with a seam down the back, classic beige pumps, and a cute cheetah print bow headband.
